Io Tejada
Io is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. She has experience working with children and adolescents in community behavioral health settings and is passionate about supporting the overall well-being of each client she works with.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in the principles of polyvagal theory and informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), offering clients tools to understand how their nervous systems and thought patterns impact their daily lives. Io integrates a feminist lens into her work, helping clients explore how their needs are shaped by both biological and social influences.
Io strives to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space where clients feel empowered to explore their concerns, build resilience, and connect more deeply with themselves and others.
